About the Artist

Eric Fasking - Biography

Eric Fasking

Eric Fasking is an American artist currently living in Texas.

His paintings mostly reflect a love for western themes and the great outdoors, but all sorts of subject matter find their way into his “impressionistic realism” style of painting.  He began painting at the age of twelve in the fabled Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, where anything that would hold paint got some…. like river rocks, wood shingles, old bottles and Christmas tree ornaments.  He graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a BA in Fine Art.

He then went west to Oklahoma and Texas and got busy being a family man and raising two wonderful boys, but the love of painting was suppressed for about 25 years.

In 2009 he was able to return to his passion for painting and has been studying his craft diligently, traveling and attending workshops with various nationally recognized artists, and painting as much as possible.

He now resides in Lake Jackson, Texas, with his beautiful wife, Susan.  Together, they have built a wonderful new studio where he now paints full time.

He is a current member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, the VIEWS Community and the Outdoor Painters Society.  His work is currently represented by Gabriel and Litsa Folse at Style 208 in Fredericksburg, Texas.
